Easy installation – installation of geogrids is simple and fast and does not require specialized tools.
Aesthetics and functionality – geogrid not only reinforces the ground, but also allows you to maintain the natural appearance of the garden.
Protection from damage – the use of geogrids on sidewalks or driveways effectively protects the surface from the formation of ruts and other damage.

Protection and durability of the substrate
Geogrid provides long-lasting protection for the ground, protecting it from erosion and other external factors. Thanks to its high resistance to compression and mechanical damage, it remains stable even in areas with heavy traffic. The use of trellis in the garden allows you to create surfaces that are both durable, functional and aesthetic, regardless of their purpose.
Moreover, thanks to the open structure of the geogrid, plant roots have free access to air and water, which supports their natural growth and is additionally protected from mechanical damage.

Geogrid from Stella Green is made of polyethylene, a durable, high-quality recycled plastic. This material is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage, compression and changing weather conditions, in addition to being clean and free of heavy metals.
Thanks to this – geogrid is an ecological solution that not only reinforces substrates, but also supports the idea of sustainable development through the use of recycled raw materials. This makes it environmentally friendly, yet durable and practical for everyday use.
FAQS
1. What is a geogrid and why is it used?
Geogrid is an openwork panel made of durable, high-quality plastic materials such as polyethylene. It is used to harden and stabilize the ground, allowing the load to be evenly distributed. All this to prevent ruts and damage to the ground in parking lots, access roads or fire roads.
2. What are the advantages of using Stella Green brand geogrids?
Geogrid is characterized by extraordinary strength and weather resistance, as well as ease of installation. It is made from recycled materials, making it the most environmentally friendly choice in the category of products for strengthening lawns, driveways or parking lots. Moreover, the geogrid effectively prevents soil erosion by stabilizing the ground.
In addition, it can be filled with aggregate (such as gravel) and grass. The advantage of filling the grid with grass or gravel is that you can create aesthetically pleasing and functional usable surfaces that are environmentally friendly.
3. Can I install a grass grid without laying a foundation?
No, laying the substructure is necessary.
Important: At the site of pedestrian traffic, the substructure should be 20 cm high, and at the site of traffic, it should be 40 cm high. The substructure consists of a base layer, a leveling layer and two layers of geotextile separating the base layer from the other layers.
4. Is it possible to purchase an entire palette of grass grids?
Yes, a pallet, depending on the model and height, holds between 176 and 336 grass grids. Stella Green brand geogrid is available in both small quantities and pallet quantities.
5. Where can grass grids be used?
Stella Green ecograss grid (a.k.a. geogrid) is ideal for parking lots, fire roads, access roads or property entrances. Thanks to its design, it is suitable for reinforcing the ground and subsoil in areas subject to heavy loads.
Geogrid can also be used to create garden paths, reinforce slopes, but also for the lawn. Stella Green grids are also used as pathways, doormats in front of the greenhouse or walkways between beds.
6. Are gravel grids resistant to heavy loads and damage?
Yes, Stella Green gravel grids are load-tested and meet DIN EN 1072:1985 requirements, meaning they are strong enough to support the weight of vehicles, including cars, RVs or vans. SG4 can withstand an allowable pressure of up to 500T/square meter, and has a capacity of 4.6 grids/square meter.
Tests conducted by the German TÜV SÜD confirm their durability and reliability. The grass grids are resistant to compression, acids and other adverse weather conditions.
7. Geogrid – step by step installation
Installation of Stella Green geogrids is relatively simple and fast.
Prepare the ground – remove the layer of soil to a level that will allow all the layers of the substructure to fit (it is a good idea to maintain a 1-2% slope in the best direction of rainwater runoff).
Then cover the area with geotextile (100-300 g/m²).
Backfill the area with a base layer.
Lay down a geotextile fabric, and spread a leveling layer over it, and compact the mixture with a compactor.
Lay the grids on the prepared surface and add material, such as aggregate or grass.
*The grass grids can be easily cut to fit any shape and size of the area.
8. Are geogrid, grass grid, gravel grid and paving grid different products?
The nomenclature is used alternately due to the wide range of applications. In the case of Stella Green brand grates, there are four models of this product: SG1, SG3, SG4 and SG6, all of which are used in parking lots, driveways, bike paths, allotments, gardens or lawns, and are united by the same manufacturing material. They differ in size, which allows them to fit the terrain, whatever its length and width.
For example, the SG4 model (4cm high) is an alternative to concrete openwork slabs – it’s a grid that has very high strength, which is why it’s also used on roads for heavy transport and horse paddocks, where the pressure is distributed more point-wise.
9. How much does it cost to deliver the geogrid?
Delivery of geogrids from Stella Green depends on circumstances such as location, order size and product availability. For more details, it is advisable to contact the manufacturer directly.
