Rain tax – can it be avoided?

Rain tax – is it possible to avoid it?

According to the Polish Waters (Wody Polskie), “Consultations and interdepartmental agreements are ongoing regarding the draft law on drought impact mitigation. The concept of the rain tax causes a lot of emotions, mainly due to the planned fees for lost retention, referred to as the ‘paving tax’ or commonly the rain tax.”

Biologically active area

According to the principle “find space for greenery,” STELLA GREEN offers excellent solutions that not only provide biologically active areas but also allow, in line with the planned law, to save resources effectively and significantly reduce the tax. Thanks to these solutions, you can already plan and prepare the area around your property today. This also applies to residential areas. With STELLA GREEN permeable paving, the rain tax will not be a burden for residents.

According to the planned regulations, changes are set to begin from 600 m2 with over 50% of the area built-up. Currently, the threshold is 3500 m2 with over 70% built-up area. Therefore, once the changes come into effect, the rain tax would apply not only to businesses but also to individuals. This will affect single-family homeowners. Excellent stabilization of pedestrian and vehicular traffic

The Stella Green grid is easy to install. It can be filled with any gravel or grass. The grid’s permeable design allows for complete drainage. In practice, it is unlimited and ensures full water circulation. No drainage installation is required, as is the case with concrete paving. Thanks to the permeable structure, the grass grows through and connects individual grids. Naturally connected by the grass roots, the grids perfectly stabilize the surface for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The concept of stabilizing green areas is not only practical but also aesthetic. The lawn will remain in good condition even when vehicles move across it.

It should be added that maintaining the lawn in the grid in good condition is similar to any other lawn. Regular watering and fertilizing are necessary for these types of green spaces. When mowing the grass in the grid, you can, of course, use any mowers or robots.
