High strength and load resistance – which grille model to choose?

Gravel grid from Stella Green are distinguished by their exceptional durability and ability to withstand heavier loads, making them ideal for heavily used areas.

The brand has a model in its product range that is particularly notable for its high durability. This is the SG4 grid, which was designed for the most demanding conditions. It is perfect for parking lots, routes designed for heavy traffic and horse paddocks, where the pressure is distributed more point-wise. Behind the above-average strength of the SG4 grating is a slightly more closed construction and thick walls, which prevents the aggregate from moving. Filled with aggregate, it can withstand an allowable pressure of up to 500T/m², making it extremely durable and reliable.

Another parking grating model that will work well in high-traffic areas is the SG6 grid. Its design makes it an ideal choice for parking lots, driveways and areas frequented by cars and even RVs. The durability of the material, combined with a good sub-base, makes SG6 an ideal product for public developments as well. This aggregate-filled grid can withstand pressures of up to 400T/m².

What’s more, Stella Green graves grid, including the SG4 and SG6 models, have passed tests conducted by the German organization TÜV SÜD, confirming compliance with DIN EN 1072:1985, which is crucial for the design and construction of fire roads.

Grass grid installation – fast and efficient

The installation of the grille is fast and uncomplicated. Thanks to the click-type hooks, connecting the individual elements is extremely easy. The most important factor affecting the longevity of grass grid structures is a properly made substructure.

In order to properly prepare the substructure for the laying of grids, it is necessary:

  • coring the entire area
  • level the ground and compact mechanically
  • lining the area with geotextile
  • fill with a base layer, then level and compact again with a compactor
  • re-lining the area with geotextile fabric
  • Spread loose material (e.g., sand), that is, the leveling layer and spread evenly
  • arrange the grille by connecting it to each other with “click” hooks (for SG4 and SG6 models)
  • Spread aggregate (such as grass, gravel, sand)

Summary

Depending on your individual needs – Stella Green‘s range allows you to choose a grille perfectly suited to your project. Whether for heavily used areas, driveways, parking lots or green spaces, each model provides exceptional strength and stability.
