The SG6 geogrid, also known as the lawn grid, is an eco-friendly solution that revolutionizes the approach to soil stabilization. The main applications of the SG6 geogrid include parking lots, driveways, bicycle paths, fire roads and recreational areas. The above-average strength of the SG6 geogrid is due to its closed structure and thick walls, which prevents the movement of aggregate (in the case of roads and parking lots). In addition, the SG6 model allows natural drainage of rainwater, creating a SUDS compliant surface.
The SG6 model, thanks to its exceptional durability, exceeding standard geogrids, makes it an excellent substitute for paving stones, concrete slabs or gravel itself. SG6 geogrids in accordance with DIN EN 1072:1985 can withstand a permissible pressure of up to 400 t/m², which makes them extremely durable and reliable even under the harshest conditions. Installation of these geogrids is simple thanks to intuitive “click” connections.
The geogrids are available in the following dimensions: 50×50×4 cm, 50×50×5 cm, 60×40×4 cm.
Geogrids can be filled with grass seeded soil or any type of gravel up to 20 mm in size. The design of the geogrid prevents the migration of aggregate and the formation of ruts or puddles. The grating layer filled with gravel creates an even and comfortable surface for car and pedestrian traffic.
Durable material
The material for the geogrid is recycled granulate (polyethylene), which was obtained by recycling selected post-industrial waste. As a result, the material is not only durable, but clean and free of heavy metals. Durable and safe for the environment.
Unique build
Installation is quick and easy. The individual panels are connected by integrated hooks on the edges of the individual grids, leaving an expansion space. The construction is strong and at the same time fully openwork. The roots of the grass can grow perfectly in the grid, in any direction, creating a SUDS compliant surface.
Application of Stella Green grids
The SG6 geogrid is a great replacement for paving stones, concrete or concrete openwork slabs. The SG6 geogrid, due to its reinforced structure, is perfect for use in parking lots, driveways and areas frequented by passenger cars or motorhomes. The durability of the material combined with a good substrate base makes the geogrid an ideal product also for public investments.
The SG6 geogrid has passed tests carried out by the German organization TÜV SÜD, confirming compliance with the DIN EN 1072:1985 standard, which is crucial for the design and construction of fire roads. SUDS compliant.

The installation of the geogrid should not take place at a temperature below 5 degrees Celsius.
The installation of the geogrid itself is quick and uncomplicated. Thanks to the integrated hooks on the edges of the geogrid, the individual elements are very easy to connect to each other.
The most important factor influencing the longevity of a geogrid structure is a properly made substructure. We have also prepared special instructions on how to make one to enjoy a properly laid geogrid for many years. Geogrid installation step by step
In order to properly prepare the substructure for the laying of geogrids, it is necessary to:
coring the entire area
level the ground and compact mechanically
lining the area with geotextile
fill with a base layer, then level and compact again with a compactor
re-lining the area with geotextile fabric
pour out the loose material (sand), i.e. the levelling layer and spread it evenly
arrange the geogrids by connecting it to each other with hooks (in the case of SG1 and SG3 models) or with “click” catches (in the case of SG4 and SG6 models)

* Important: the shade of green and black color may vary in products delivered in successive deliveries. This is a typical feature of recycled production, which does not affect the quality and performance of the products in any way.
* Important: Grid walls must be completely filled with stone or overgrown with grass. If there is a loss of fill, it must be replenished – protruding hollow walls can be damaged.
** Additional protection of the soil stabilization system against the phenomenon of keyboarding are 245 mm long anchors with a clearly marked screw line, for which guide stacks are provided in the grid structure. In addition, the anchor is intended to protect the system from landslides, in case it is laid on a slope.

Frequently asked questions
What are geogrids and how do they work?
Geogrids are special openwork panels made of durable materials such as polyethylene. They are used to stabilize the soil, allowing the load to be evenly distributed on the surface, which prevents rutting and damage. Thanks to the grid structure, rainwater can seep freely, which contributes to maintaining the SUDS compliant surface. This product is available in black.
How much does the SG6 geogrid cost?
If you prefer online shopping, buy this model of Stella Green geogrid on Allegro or Erli.
What are the advantages of Stella Green geogrids?
These geogrids are characterized by high durability, resistance to weather conditions and ease of installation. They are made from recycled materials, making them an eco-friendly choice. In addition, thanks to the possibility of filling the geogrid with grass or gravel, it is possible to create aesthetic and functional surfaces that are environmentally friendly, allow for greater loads. In addition, compared to paving stones, the geogrid has a much better price-quality ratio, and its installation is really simple.
Can I install a geogrid without laying a substructure?
No, laying the substructure is necessary. In the place of pedestrian traffic, the substructure should be 20 cm, and in the place of road traffic – 40 cm. The substructure consists of a substructure, a levelling course and two layers of geotextile separating the substructure from the other layers.
Is it possible to buy a whole range of geogrid?
Yes, depending on the model and height of the pallet, there are between 176 and 336 pieces of geogrids per pallet. The Stella Green geogrid is available in small quantities as well as in pallet quantities.
How many geogrids make up one square meter?
Square lawn grids by Stella Green – SG1 and SG3 need exactly 4.56 pcs. per 1m2 . Rectangular grilles, on the other hand, SG4 and SG6 you need exactly 4.57 pcs. per m2.
Where can geogrids be used?
The Stella Green geogrid is ideal for the garden, horse paddocks and applications in parking lots, driveways, fire roads and green areas and other surfaces. Thanks to their design, they are suitable for soil reinforcement in places exposed to heavy loads, such as car parks. These geogrids can also be used to create garden paths and to reinforce slopes.
Are geogrids resistant to heavy loads?
Yes, Stella Green geogrids are tested for load resistance and meet the requirements of DIN EN 1072:1985. This means that they are strong enough to support the weight of vehicles, including cars, motorhomes or vans. Tests carried out by the German TÜV SÜD confirm their durability and reliability up to 400 tons/m2. In addition, the geogrid is resistant to acids, compression and damage.
How to install a geogrid step by step?
Installation of Stella Green geogrids is simple and quick. The substrate should be prepared, i.e. remove the soil layer, to a level that will allow all layers of the substructure to fit (it is worth keeping a 1-2% slope in the best direction for water runoff). Then the area should be covered with geotextile (100-300 g/m2). The next step is to cover the area with the load-bearing layer (details on the composition of the load-bearing layer can be found in the link below). Then, the geotextile should be laid again, and the levelling layer should be poured on it and the mixture should be compacted with a compactor. In the final step, the geogrids are laid on a prepared surface and filled with material such as aggregate, gravel or sown with grass (see link below for details). The geogrids can be easily cut to fit any shape and size of surface. Click on the link, select the language and learn how to install the geogrid step by step: https://installation.info.pl/.
Where are Stella Green geogrids available?
