Grass grids can be filled with grass seeded soil or any type of gravel up to 20 mm in size. The design of the grass grid prevents the migration of aggregate and the formation of ruts or puddles. The grating layer filled with gravel creates an even and comfortable surface for car and pedestrian traffic.
The material for the grass grid is recycled granulate (polyethylene), which was obtained by recycling selected post-industrial waste. As a result, the material is not only durable, but clean and free of heavy metals. Durable and safe for the environment.

Yes, Stella Green grass grids are tested for load resistance and meet the requirements of DIN EN 1072:1985. This means that they are strong enough to support the weight of vehicles, including cars, motorhomes or vans. Tests carried out by the German TÜV SÜD confirm the durability, reliability and strength of the Stella Green grass grid up to 400 tonnes/m2. In addition, the grass grid is resistant to acids, compression and damage.
Installation of Stella Green grass grids is simple and quick. The substrate should be prepared, i.e. remove the soil layer, to a level that will allow all layers of the substructure to fit (it is worth keeping a 1-2% slope in the best direction for water runoff). Then the area should be covered with geotextile (100-300 g/m2). The next step is to cover the area with the load-bearing layer (details on the composition of the load-bearing layer can be found in the link below). Then, lay the geotextile again, pour the levelling layer on it and compact the mixture with a compactor. In the final step, the grass grids are laid on a prepared surface and filled with material such as aggregate, gravel or sown with grass (see link below for details). In the case of Stella Green grass grids, there are 4 models of this product: SG1, SG3, SG4 and SG6, all of which are used in parking lots, driveways, bicycle paths, allotments and in the garden. The models differ from each other in dimensions, colors and typical use (for example, the SG4 model is a gravel grid that is characterized by very high durability, which is why it is also used on roads for heavy transport and paddocks for horses, where the pressure is distributed more point-wise).
